WET WEATHER ☔️
Cross your fingers, cross your toes and stick the Child of Prague in the front yard…
but JUST IN CASE of bad weather we may have to change show times. We will have volunteers on hand at each pitch to let you know the craic, and we’ll update show times on our Facebook page if we need to do a switcharoo! Keep your peepers peeled!
PARKING 🚗
We always recommend walking, cycling or hopping on the bus.. it’s easier, greener and the roads will be busy!
But if you’re driving, here are your best bets (alongside all City Centre Car Parks):
PEE BREAKS AND OTHER BITS…🚽
There are plenty of toilets available around the Foyle Maritime Festival site (including some snazzy posh loos!). There’s also a Parent and Baby Changing Area, Quiet Time Sensory Room, Mobiloo Disabled Toilet and Picnic Tables at the Family Festival Hub.
WATER STATIONS 💧
Bring your refillable bottle and stay hydrated! There’s a water station in the Carnival of Colours zone, plus three more across the Maritime Festival site.
FOOD AND DRINK 🍔
Just a wee dander away you can find the LegenDerry Food Village where you can feast on the finest local food and drink. Grab some munchies and bring them back to Carnival of Colours for the full festy experience!
GETTING HERE (FROM THE BIG SMOKE)
If you are coming from Belfast the 212 bus or the train are hourly (or every other hour on a Sunday) and the bus station and train station are only a wee dander from the festival site.
This festival simply would not be possible without the hours of work that go in behind the scenes! This is so much more than a job to us, and the team truly goes above and beyond to make Carnival of Colours the special event that it is.
A huge shout out to our families, who put up with a lot during festival season and keep us fuelled with love, support, pep talks and the occasional emergency care package (to be fair… all year round, not just in June!).
We’d also like to give a massive thank you to our fabulous Board of Directors:
Christina Crouch, Stephen Kelly, Ciara Hanley, Dale Robson, Caroline Wilhelmsson, Cara McLoughlin, Max Beer and Ross Parkhill.
To our crew, our incredible artists, the wonderful Circus School children and their families, our volunteers, partner organisations, supporters, sponsors… and of course, YOU - our audience…
HATS OFF TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!
